Mercedes has trained professionally in many therapeutic bodywork modalities with leaders in their field in Europe and the United States. For two decades her training in Chinese, Ayurvedic and Western disciplines have been applied in her holistic approach. As a clinical Herbalist and Aromatherapist she brings new insights into her Bodywork and Esthetician practice. Her massage therapy training includes extensive experience in Reflexology, Acupressure, Sports, Deep Tissue, Hot and Cold Stone, Thai and Ayurvedic techniques.

As a graduate in Esthiology at the Aveda Institute of South Florida she became an accomplished Esthetician trained in the latest skin care technology and protocols. She established her foundation in resort Spa environments at The Palms Hotel and Spa in Miami Beach.

A cofounder and Director of the Institute of Aromatherapy in New Jersey, she created the first State approved 200-hour Aromatherapy Certification course specifically designed for massage therapists and other health professionals. She holds a diploma in Clinical Aromatherapy from the Shirley Price International College of Aromatherapy in England and frequently lectures on the therapeutic applications of essential oils.

She received her advanced massage therapy diploma from the Morris Institute of Natural Therapeutics in New Jersey in 1991 and subsequently established both a private practice as well as worked in various Spa and Clinical settings.

Mercedes earned her Clinical Herbalist Diploma under David Winston at his Herbal Therapeutics School of Botanical Medicine in New Jersey.

Formerly she has worked part-time as a Massage Therapist and Esthetician at the luxurious Mayflower Inn & Spa in Washington. Ct.

Her philosophy is that Good Health should NOT be a luxury and she has successfully built the Touch Therapy Studio on providing great services in a relaxed professional atmosphere.
